Actually, most One Piece movies are non-canon, meaning they don't really affect the main storyline. But, there's a few, like 'Strong World', 'Z', and 'Gold' where Oda (the creator) had a hand in. While they're technically still not part of the main plot, having Oda's touch means they fit pretty well with the rest of the One Piece universe vibes.

Nah, for the most part, One Piece movies are like extra adventures on the side. Think of 'em as fun field trips away from the main story. They're not really part of the main plot, but hey, they're a blast to watch and sometimes give a bit of extra color to the characters we all love. Perfect for when you want more One Piece but the main story's got you waiting.

The movies are cool and all but if you're following the main story, you're not missing plot details by skipping them.
