Actually, not all of them. While many poison types were indeed classified under grass in the early days of Pokémon TCG, it's a bit of a mix now. You got poison types chilling with the psychic gang too. Diversity, ya know?

Nah, it's a common misconception. Poison types have always had their unique flair, even when they were grouped with grass types. They're like that one friend who's into everything and somehow fits in everywhere.

Short answer: Yes. Long answer: Yeeeeeeeees. They've evolved beyond that.

Yep, back in the day, poison type Pokémon were often lumped together with grass types in the Pokémon TCG. It made sense with the whole nature vibe, but they've since spiced things up by giving poison its own identity in newer sets. It's kinda like that awkward phase in high school when you're trying to figure out if you're more emo or goth.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
