Are Pokemon Cards Made in Japan?
Yup, Pokemon cards originate from Japan! The game was created there, and many of the cards, especially the limited editions and first runs, are printed in Japanese and come straight from there. However, as the game skyrocketed in popularity worldwide, regional printing locations have been set up in other countries to meet global demand. So while the heart and soul of Pokemon TCG may be Japanese, the cards in your deck might have traveled from closer to home.

Nope, not all of them. Only the cool ones! Just kidding, but seriously, while Pokemon did start in Japan, they print cards all over the place now to keep up with us fans.
Definitely, Japan's where it all began. But don't forget, we've got printing in the US and other places too for the international versions.
