Are Proxy Pokemon Cards Worth Anything?

Oh, the world of proxy Pokemon cards - a topic as controversial as pineapple on pizza! To be clear, proxy cards are basically fan-made or unofficial prints meant to replace the real deal for casual play. Now, if you're thinking of striking gold with these cards, think again. Unlike genuine Pokemon TCG cards that can fetch a pretty penny, proxy cards don't pack the same punch in value. They're not allowed in official tournaments, and serious collectors usually give them a hard pass. So, in terms of monetary value, they're not an investment. But, they can be pretty cool for casual games or for trying out decks before committing to buying the real cards!

Honestly, I've used proxy cards before and they're great for casual play, especially when you're experimenting with different strategies. But if you think you're sitting on a goldmine with them, think again. They have zero resale value but can be valuable to players in terms of gameplay. Just don't go to a tournament expecting to play with them or trade them like they're the real deal.

Proxy cards? Nah, they're basically zeros on the market. They're like the photocopies of the Pokemon world. Don't expect to make bank on them.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
