Nope, they're not the same. The PS2 uses a two-prong power cord while the PS3 uses a three-prong cord. Check the back of each console to see the difference!

Actually, the original 'fat' PS2 and the PS3 Slim do use the same two-prong power cord. But the PS2 Slim and the original PS3 use different ones. It's a bit of a mixed bag, so double-check your models!
