Most PS3 Slims can play PS1 games, but they can’t play PS2 games. Only the early models of the original PS3 had full backward compatibility with PS2 games.

I have a PS3 Slim and it plays PS1 games fine, but I can't play any PS2 games on it. Slims lost that feature.

Nope, PS3 Slims don’t support PS2 games. Stick to the original 60GB or 80GB PS3 models for that.
