Shadow Pokemon cards? If you're thinking of those mysterious, dark versions of Pokemon, sorry to burst your bubble, but they're not official Pokemon TCG cards. The 'shadow' you might hear about is just a design element on some cards. No spooky, special powers or rare statuses here.

Nope. Shadow Pokemon cards aren't a real thing in the official Pokemon TCG world. Any 'shadow' term you come across probably just refers to the card design. Stick to looking for those ultra-rare EX, GX, or V cards if you want the good stuff.

Yep! Shadow Pokemon cards are totally a thing, but not in the way you might think. They're not a special rarity or type within the official Pokemon TCG. Instead, 'shadow' often refers to the shadow effect on the artwork border of some cards, which was a design choice in certain sets. So if you're hunting for shadow cards, you're looking for something that's real, but not an official card type like EX or GX cards.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
