Yes, shadowless Pokemon cards are quite rare! They're actually from the very first print run of the Pokemon TCG back in 1999. What makes them standout is the absence of the shadow on the right side of the image box that later versions have. Because they were only printed in the initial batch before the design was updated, they're much less common and can be quite a treasure for collectors.

Honestly, they're rare, but don't expect to strike it rich with just any shadowless card. Condition matters A LOT. A common card in poor shape won't fetch much, even if it's shadowless. But find a Charizard in mint condition? Now you're talking serious cash.

I think 'rare' is an understatement. These cards are like finding a needle in a haystack! They were only around for a short time at the very start of the Pokemon TCG craze, so not many are floating around. Plus, the older they get, the harder they are to find in good condition. Definitely keep an eye out for them!

Shadowless cards are the unicorns of the Pokemon TCG world. Not just rare, but oozing nostalgia and worth quite a bit to the right buyer. If you got one, you're sitting on a piece of Pokemon history.
