Are Snowy Mountains Different from Mountains in MTG?
EmptyingDaisy路7 months agoYes, but not in a huge game-changing way. The main difference is just the 'snow' part. Some cards give you extra perks for having snow lands. So, if your deck doesn't care about snow, then Snowy Mountains and regular Mountains are pretty much the same.

Nope, Snow-Covered Mountains are a trap! Just use regular Mountains unless your deck is all about that snow life.
Definitely! Snowy Mountains (also known as Snow-Covered Mountains) are a special type of basic land. While both tap for red mana, Snow-Covered Mountains have the 'snow' super type. This makes them interact differently with cards that specify 'snow' in their text. So, in some decks, having Snow-Covered Mountains can really make a difference because of that snow synergy!
