Totally safe! In Fallout 4, you can stash your stuff in any storage container without worrying about NPCs snagging your goodies. Whether it's a desk in Sanctuary Hills or a steamer trunk in the Glowing Sea, your loot's not going anywhere. Just remember where you put everything, because 'organized' is the last word I'd use to describe the wasteland.

Short answer: Yes. Your loot is safe. NPCs don't have sticky fingers in Fallout 4, so feel free to hoard to your heart's content.
