The movies are both part of the main story and standalone experiences. Mugen Train covers an arc in the manga already adapted in the anime, but it's worth watching for the incredible animation on the big screen!

TL;DR - Mugen Train movie is just a longer, more epic version of that part of the show. Watch either one; you鈥檙e good.

Sort of! The first movie, Mugen Train, is an adaptation of the Mugen Train arc from the manga. So, while it's the same story, it's presented as a feature film instead of episodes. The show also adapts this arc, but if you watch the movie, you can skip those episodes!

Don't worry about missing out. The show and the movies complement each other beautifully. Enjoy them both!
