Actually, some shiny Pokemon cards look silver-ish because of their holographic design, especially the older ones. I got a couple in my collection—legit ones from early sets. They're not 'silver' by official classification, but that holographic sparkle might be what confuses some folks.

Yep, silver Pokemon cards are a thing, but not in the way you might think. There aren't official 'silver' rarity cards in the main Pokemon TCG sets. What people often refer to as 'silver cards' could be special or promo cards that have a unique silver-colored border or finish. These are often limited edition or special release cards, so while they're real, they're not a regular part of the card tiers like common, uncommon, rare, etc.

Silver Pokemon cards ain't a standard thing. If you see one, it's probs a custom or a fake. The real deal comes in colors like black for Ultra Rares, but silver ain't on the official color palette.

Nope, no such thing as official silver rarity in the Pokemon TCG. If it's silver and claims to be Pokémon, double-check its origin!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
