Yeah, they are! Especially 'Ordinal Scale' which bridges parts of the series and adds to the story. It's pretty essential viewing for fans!
From my experience, 'Ordinal Scale' fits right into the timeline and is referenced in later seasons. So yeah, it's canon! Other movies like 'Alicization War of Underworld' recap stuff, so not as essential, but still fun.
