Nope! While they look similar and both work on Xbox One and Series S, the Series S controller has a few upgrades. It has a better D-pad, a Share button, and improved connectivity with Bluetooth Low Energy.

I've used both: the Series S controller just feels a bit more refined. It's got better grip texture and the new Share button is handy for screenshots and clips.
