Yeah, Dragon Ball does have a few black characters, but they don't play major roles. One example is Mr. Popo, though his portrayal has been controversial. Another one is Uub, introduced towards the end of Dragon Ball Z as a reincarnation of Kid Buu.

Uub is the main black character in Dragon Ball. He's a good guy and gets stronger over time, so look forward to his appearances!
