Guild Wars 2 is another great option. It's less about grinding and more about story and exploration, which can give you that SAO adventure vibe.
If you're into VR, give VRChat a try. It's not an MMORPG per se, but you can create custom worlds and avatars, and it feels super virtual!
You should check out Final Fantasy XIV! It's got an immersive world, epic storylines, and tons of content to explore. It's kinda like living in SAO, minus the whole 'dying in the game, dying in real life' thing.
