Walls = defender, always. It's like peanut butter and jelly. If you see a wall, it's not going anywhere to attack.

Yep, walls in Magic The Gathering always come with the defender ability. This means they can't attack, only defend. Imagine them as the shy but strong type at the party - they don't start the fight, but they sure can end one, or at least make sure you don't get hit.

Actually, most walls do have defender, but there are old cards where the wall doesn't explicitly say it has defender because the rule was implied back in the day. Always double-check the Oracle text for the official ruling.

Not all walls have defender, but like 99% do. It's a Magic rule or something. But always check your card to be sure, cause MTG loves to throw curveballs.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
