Honestly, it's hit or miss. Yeah, certain WOTC (Wizards of the Coast for those not in the loop) Pokemon cards can be worth a lot, but not all of them are gonna pay for your next vacation. People get super excited about finding an old card, but unless it's rare and in good shape, it might not be worth as much as you hope.

Oh, absolutely yes! WOTC Pokemon cards can be like finding a gold mine in your attic if you've got the right ones. The value totally depends on the card's condition, rarity, and edition. First Edition holographic cards, for example, can fetch thousands of dollars. Even non-holographic cards from the original sets can be worth a pretty penny, especially if they're in mint condition. It's all about the rarity and condition. So, if you've got old Pokemon cards lying around, it might be worth taking a closer look!

From personal experience, YES! I found an old binder full of WOTC Pokemon cards in my basement and decided to get them appraised. Turned out I had a couple of first edition holographics in near mint condition. Sold one and made enough to buy a new laptop. You gotta check what you have; you might be sitting on a treasure!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
