Yep, a face-down card in MTG can indeed have abilities! While it's chilling face-down, it's considered to have no name, color, mana cost, or power/toughness, BUT if the card itself has any static abilities or triggers while it's face-down, those still apply. So, if you're playing with morph or megamorph, remember, those sneaky abilities can still surprise your opponent!

Short answer: Yes. Abilities still work even when the card is face-down. Don't overlook the power of hidden tricks!

Actually, it's kinda rare and depends. Most of the time, a face-down card is just a 2/2 creature with no abilities, unless the card or the situation specifically says otherwise. So, not every face-down card is gonna be a game changer.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
