Short answer: Nope. You need a reason from the game, like an ability or spell.

Actually, it's a common misconception. You can only sacrifice cards if you're instructed by a card's ability or effect. I learned this the hard way in a tournament. Thought I could be sneaky and sacrifice my creature to avoid it being exiled. Didn't work. Follow the card rules!

Nah, you can't just sacrifice cards whenever you feel like it in MTG. You need a spell, ability, or effect that specifically tells you to sacrifice something. It's all about timing and following the rules of the game. So, keep an eye out for those cards that let you make sacrifices at the right moment!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
