Absolutely! The Steam Deck is essentially a handheld PC running on a custom AMD APU optimized for handheld gaming. It runs on SteamOS by default, which is based on Linux, but you can totally install Windows on it or use it to run other PC software and games not exclusively found on Steam. It's got the inputs and connectivity you'd expect from a PC, so hooking it up to a monitor, using external storage, or plugging in a mouse and keyboard is no problem at all.

Yup, you can! It's not just for gaming. The Steam Deck runs a version of Linux but feel free to slap Windows on there. Then it鈥檚 game on for both your Steam library and all the joys of PC use.

Steam Deck as a PC? More like a compact power punch! Managed to do my regular browsing, some light work, and of course, gaming. It's not replacing my desktop anytime soon, but for on-the-go, it's perfect.

I wouldn't count on it replacing your desktop or laptop. Great for games, but for serious work? Meh.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
