Can a token have Persist in Magic The Gathering?
CompletingClint·7 months agoAbsolutely! While tokens usually poof out of existence when they hit the graveyard, if a token does have persist, the rules say it'll come back to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter if it didn't already have one. Magic rules can be pretty wild, huh? But remember, once that token leaves the battlefield after persisting, it's gone for good—into the aether, never to be seen again.

Yeah, tokens can totally have persist. Saw it happen in a game last night. Once with a -1/-1, then poof, gone forever. Cool but kinda sad.
Nope. Tokens vanish into thin air the moment they touch the graveyard. Persist or not, it's like trying to tether a cloud. Sure, the rules let it come back once with a -1/-1 counter if it didn't have one, but that's its final magic trick before the grand disappearance.
