Nah, I think focusing on reducing X costs misses the point. MTG is all about strategy, not just making stuff cheaper. Better to build a solid deck than to rely on gimmicks.

Short answer: Yes. Look for cards that reduce casting costs. These work on X spells too.

From my experience, yes! I've run a deck that makes use of cost-reduction cards to cast some massive X spells for way less. Totally changes the game when you can fire off a giant 'Fireball' spell without tapping out all your lands.

Absolutely, an X can indeed cost less in Magic The Gathering! Cards or abilities that reduce the generic mana cost of spells can make casting costs cheaper, even for those pesky X spells. Keep an eye out for cards like 'Cloud Key' or abilities that specifically reduce the cost of spells. They make it easier to unleash those powerful X spells without draining all your resources!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
