Can Changelings Not Attack as They are a Wall in MTG?

Oh, the joy of MTG mechanics! Changelings can indeed attack unless the card specifically mentions otherwise. The 'changeling' ability means the card is every creature type at all times. Yes, including walls. But here's the fun part - not all walls have 'defender'. So, unless your changeling has 'defender' slapped on it (or another ability preventing it from attacking), it's swinging into battle!

Nah, changelings can attack. The whole 'every creature type' thing doesn't automatically mean they're stuck holding down the fort. Unless it's got 'defender', it's game on.

Actually, I've played a changeling deck and ran into this question. My changeling could attack because it didn't have 'defender'. It's really all about the abilities the card has, not the creature type!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
