Simple answer: No. You can't counter everything. 'Counter target spell' only works on spells that are actively being cast. It's a no-go for abilities or already on-the-field cards.

Almost! 'Counter target spell' cards in MTG can counter any spell that's on the stack, including creatures, instants, sorceries, enchantments, and planeswalkers. However, they can't counter abilities or spells that have already resolved. So, if your opponent is casting a game-changing spell, slap that counter down before it settles!

Been playing MTG for years, and here's the scoop: 'Counter target spell' is your best friend against those pesky spells your opponent loves. But remember, it's all about timing. Cast too late, and it's like bringing a knife to a cannon fight.

Hot take: Counterspells are overrated. Sure, they're powerful, but there's more to MTG than just saying 'no' to your opponent.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
