Yep, death triggers still work. Board wipes clean the board, but triggers go off.

Actually, while death triggers do go off, remember not all effects are created equal. Some abilities, like indestructible or certain protection abilities, might mean a creature doesn't leave the battlefield at all during a wipe. Always read the card text closely!

Absolutely, creature effects can indeed trigger during board wipes in Magic The Gathering! If a creature has an ability that says something like 'When this creature dies, do X,' that effect will still happen even if it's getting wiped off the board along with everything else. Board wipes don't prevent death triggers from happening, so your creatures can still have their last moment of glory!

Nope, don't count on it. Board wipes mean everything goes bye-bye at once. It's all about the timing and specifics of the effects.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
