Absolutely, Deflecting Palm can indeed cause a game to tie in MTG! If both players are at a low enough life total and Deflecting Palm is used to redirect damage that would be exactly lethal for both players, then bam! You've got yourself a tie. It's a rare scenario, but definitely a possibility that adds an extra layer of strategy (and hilarity) to the game.

Hot take: Tying a game with Deflecting Palm is more of a mythical unicorn situation. It's technically possible, but so rare that you probably shouldn't build your strategy around it. Still, if it ever happens, it's one for the MTG history books!

Can confirm from firsthand experience, Deflecting Palm can tie games. Was playing with friends and we ended up in the exact scenario where Deflecting Palm's redirection caused a tie. Our reaction was pure disbelief followed by laughter. It was one of those memorable 'only in MTG' moments.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
