Nope, they cannot! Bethesda made sure you can sneak around with your Pip-Boy light on without worrying about giving away your position. You can keep looting and sneaking without the fear of being spotted just because you needed some light to see where you're going. Just make sure to keep an eye on your Noise level, cause that's what'll give you away!

Fun fact: your light's safe! Enemies don't react to the Pip-Boy light or any flashlight mods you might have installed. It鈥檚 one of those little unrealisms we love in video games that make stealth missions less of a headache.
Gotta disagree with the majority here. While technically, game mechanics don't make you more visible with the light on, it just feels wrong sneaking around with a beacon on your arm. Immersion > Mechanics, folks.
Actually, no. Surprisingly, turning on your Pip-Boy light doesn't make you any easier to spot by enemies in Fallout 4. It's more about the noise you make and how visible you are. So, feel free to light up those dark corners while scavenging for goodies.
