Absolutely, Fallout 4 can be played in 3rd person! Just tap that perspective change button (V on PC, Select on PlayStation, and Back on Xbox) and voila, you're seeing the world over your character's shoulder. It's great for admiring your armor or just getting a different view of the wasteland.

For sure, you can toggle between 1st and 3rd person in Fallout 4. Though, gotta say, sneaking through the ruins and popping ferals in 1st person feels more immersive to me. But to each their own!
