Unfortunately, you can't use discount codes on pre-orders through PSN. They only work on purchases of games that are already released.

Nope, PSN doesn't allow discount codes on pre-orders. You'll need to wait until the game is out to use any coupons.

I tried this myself and sadly discovered that you can't apply discount codes to PSN pre-orders. Only works on games that are already launched.
