Can confirm, crossplay is a thing. It's super easy to squad up with friends on different devices. Just add them through the game using their username.
Honestly, I don't see the big deal. Crossplay is overrated. You'll just end up facing PC players with a huge advantage in aim.
Cross-platform play? Absolutely! It's one of my favorite features. Made it so much easier to connect with my console friends while I'm on PC. Just watch out for those mixed lobbies; the competition can get intense.
