Just sheathe your weapon by holding the reload button (R on PC, Square on PlayStation, and X on Xbox). It's the closest thing to unequipping and doesn't require entering any menu.

Unfortunately, no, you can't set a hotkey specifically for unequipping weapons in Fallout 4. However, you can quickly switch between weapons or to your fists by using the favorites menu. Just assign your favorite weapons to the quick slots, and you can also leave one slot for your fists to simulate unequipping. Not the same, but it's a quick workaround!

Nah, you can't. But really, why put your weapon away? There's always something around the corner ready to jump you in the wasteland!

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
