Nope, you can't trade a Mewtwo that you caught from a Special Research quest. Regular Mewtwos from raids are fair game though!

Yes, you can trade Mewtwo in Pokémon GO, but only if it's not your Buddy Pokémon and you have enough Stardust for a Special Trade!
