Nope, a PS3 controller won't work on a PS4. They use different communication protocols, so you'll need a DualShock 4 for your PS4 gaming action.

Actually, you can kind of use a PS3 controller on a PS4, but you'll need to connect it with a USB cable and use a workaround app like InputMapper. It's not the smoothest experience, so a DualShock 4 is still your best bet.

I tried using my old PS3 controller on my PS4 and it didn't work. Borrowed a DualShock 4 from a friend, and it was night and day! Save yourself the hassle and stick with the right gear.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
