You'd need a special adapter to make a PS3 controller work on an Xbox 360. It's a bit of a hassle, but totally doable!

I've tried using a PS3 controller on my Xbox 360 before. You'll need a controller converter, like the CronusMAX or Titan One. Worked decently for me!
