Nope, a PS4 controller won't work for PS5 games. Only for PS4 games played on the PS5.

Yep, just tried it the other day! Works fine for PS4 games, but for PS5 games, you'll need the new controller.

Totally, but keep in mind it's only for playing PS4 games through backward compatibility. For PS5 titles, you'll need the DualSense.
