Actually, ninjutsu itself can't be "countered" in the traditional sense since it's an activated ability, not a spell. You need cards that counter abilities, not spells. So no, tossing a "Counterspell" at a ninjutsu move won't do anything except waste your card.

Nope, can't do it. Ninjutsu outplays counterspells, gotta love those ninjas.

Yup, you can totally counter ninjutsu in MTG, but not with a regular "counter spell" type of deal since ninjutsu isn't a spell鈥攊t's an ability. You'd need something that specifically says it can counter abilities. Cards like "Stifle" or "Trickbind" are your go-tos for shutting down those sneaky ninjas.

From experience, best way to stop ninjutsu? Don't let their unblocked attackers get through. No unblocked attacker, no ninjutsu. Simple as that. It's more about board control than countering.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
