From my experience, I've found that Xbox 360 wired controllers work with a PS3. You just need to plug them in via the USB port. Easy peasy!

Yep, most wired USB controllers, including some PC ones, can work with a PS3. You might need to do a bit of button mapping, but it's totally possible!
