From experience, I've had to use PlayStation Now to play PS3 games since my PS4 doesn't support the older discs directly.
Unfortunately, the PS4 can't natively play PS1, PS2, or PS3 game discs. However, there are some PS2 classics available on the PlayStation Store, and you can stream or download some PS3 games using PlayStation Now.
Short answer: No, your PS4 can't handle those older games. Use PlayStation Now or buy remastered versions if available.
