I tried teaming up with my Xbox buddy on my PS5, but no luck. Elden Ring doesn't have cross-play for these consoles.

Sorry, but you can't co-op Elden Ring between PlayStation and Xbox. Same console fam only!

Nope, unfortunately, Elden Ring doesn't support cross-play between PlayStation and Xbox. You'll need to stick with friends on the same platform.
