I’ve got the OG 'fat' PS3 and it runs PS2 games like a dream. Just make sure your disc is in good condition!

Nope. Most PS3 versions can't run PS2 games. Stick to your PS2 or get a PS2 emulator.

The 60GB and some 80GB 'fat' PS3 models can play most PS2 games. The slim and super slim models don't support them, though.
