Nope. PS3 doesn't support NTFS formats for external hard drives. Format it to FAT32 if you want to use it.

Yes, but make sure the external hard drive is in FAT32 format. Otherwise, the PS3 won't recognize it.

From experience, I've used my FAT32 external hard drive with my PS3 for game saves and media files with zero issues.

Yep, the PS3 can read an external hard drive, but it has to be formatted as FAT32. NTFS won't work, so make sure you reformat if needed!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
