Unfortunately, the PS5 isn't backwards compatible with PS3 discs. It's a bummer, I know. You do have options to play PS3 games on PS Now though!

I tried popping in a PS3 disc into my PS5, and no dice. It just doesn’t recognize it. PlayStation Now is your buddy here for PS3 games.
