Can settlers use a safe in Fallout 4?
Short answer: Yes, but it’s not like they’re gonna neatly file their tax returns in there. Items stored can disappear because of the way the game handles NPC interactions with storage. So, maybe don’t put your Nuka-Cola collection in there.
