Can you start a Pokemon TCG game with Fossil item cards?
Gonna have to nix that idea. Fossil items are more like support cards; you need an actual Pokemon to get the game rolling. Tried it once hoping for some loophole magic, but no dice. Start with a basic Pokemon and evolve up from there!

Nope, you can't start a game of Pokemon TCG with fossil item cards. In the Pokemon TCG, you kick things off with a basic Pokemon in play. Fossil items, cool as they are, gotta wait their turn before jumping into the battle.
Uh, why would you? Start with a basic Pokemon, not with fossils. Fossils aren't even Pokemon, they're just rocks until you evolve them into something cool.
