Absolutely, the Steam Deck can technically get viruses just like any other PC. It's running a version of Linux, and while Linux is known for being secure, it’s not immune to all threats. Always download games and apps from trusted sources like the official Steam store, and consider using antivirus software just to be safe.

As someone who’s been using the Steam Deck since launch, I can tell you it's just as prone to threats as any computer if you're not careful. I always keep my downloads to official sources and haven’t had any issues. Better safe than sorry!

Nah, don't worry too much. The Steam Deck is pretty secure thanks to its Linux-based system. Just stick to downloading games directly from the Steam store, and you'll be fine.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
