Can the Steam Deck Get Viruses?
ResolvingGame·7 months agoAbsolutely, the Steam Deck can technically get viruses just like any other PC. It's running a version of Linux, and while Linux is known for being secure, it’s not immune to all threats. Always download games and apps from trusted sources like the official Steam store, and consider using antivirus software just to be safe.

As someone who’s been using the Steam Deck since launch, I can tell you it's just as prone to threats as any computer if you're not careful. I always keep my downloads to official sources and haven’t had any issues. Better safe than sorry!
Nah, don't worry too much. The Steam Deck is pretty secure thanks to its Linux-based system. Just stick to downloading games directly from the Steam store, and you'll be fine.
