Nah, the Steam Deck's got this. Valve packed it with decent cooling solutions. Just don't treat it like a frying pan, and you'll rarely, if ever, face overheating issues.

From personal experience, my Steam Deck got a bit warm during a 4-hour Stardew Valley binge, but nothing I'd call 'overheating.' Keeping it out of direct sunlight and on a hard surface helps keep the temps down.

Absolutely, the Steam Deck, like most high-performance electronic devices, can overheat if used in ways that push its hardware to the limits, especially during long gaming sessions or in very warm environments. It's designed to handle its thermal output quite well, though, so for regular gaming, you should be A-OK. Just give it some breathing room, avoid blocking the vents, and maybe let it chill out a bit after a marathon session.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
