The Xbox Series X can play a huge range of games from previous Xbox generations, including Xbox One, Xbox 360, and even some original Xbox titles thanks to backward compatibility. However, not every single game ever made for Xbox will work, so it's a good idea to check Microsoft's compatibility list before you get too excited!

In short, no. While the Xbox Series X has impressive backward compatibility, it can't play every single Xbox game ever released.

Yep, Xbox Series X supports backward compatibility for thousands of games from Xbox One, Xbox 360, and original Xbox. Not all games are supported, but most of the big ones are!

I own an Xbox Series X, and I can confirm it plays most of my old favorites from Xbox 360 and Xbox One. But some older, obscure games might not make the cut.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
