Yep, they sure can, but it's kind of like winning the lottery, meaning it's pretty rare. Villagers can move back to your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but only after they've cycled through the pool of other potential villagers. So, if you've got your heart set on a specific villager returning, you'll need patience and maybe a bit of luck!

Actually, they can move back, but it's not simple. If you're talking about the same exact villager, with all their memories of your island, that's not how it works. They can come back, but they'll act like they've never met you.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
