Unfortunately, there's no way to retrieve deleted chat messages in Words with Friends. Once they're gone, they're gone!

Actually, you can find old chats by re-opening the game and selecting the match you chatted in. The messages should load there.

Yes, you can retrieve your chat! Just reopen the game and go to the specific game board where you chatted. Your conversation history should still be there.

I asked Zynga support before. They can't help with deleted chats. Better save important info elsewhere next time!
